Our shop sits at 1402 Dallas Rd in North Chattanooga, a few minutes from the Market Street and Veterans bridges. That puts most of the city inside a 20-minute drive, so Arthur can be on site early to check subgrade moisture before the truck arrives and stay late to finish the cure.

Pour days get scheduled around city traffic and the concrete plant's dispatch window. For Downtown and Southside jobs with tight street access, we plan the truck approach and washout spot ahead of time so nothing sits waiting in the heat. On Missionary Ridge and Highland Park lots, where driveways are narrow and often steep, we bring the mix in on a shorter chute run or pump it rather than risk a rushed placement.

Chattanooga's housing stock runs from 1920s brick bungalows in Highland Park and St. Elmo to newer infill builds downtown and mid-century ranches along Brainerd Road. Each one asks something different from a slab.

Older homes usually mean an original driveway poured thin, with no reinforcement and roots underneath. We dig out the failed base, compact fresh crushed stone, and lay a #4 rebar grid before pouring back. Newer builds tend to have compacted but disturbed fill from grading, so we watch for settlement zones near foundation backfill and add extra steel where the slab crosses them.

For patios and rear entertaining space, Ashlar slate and cobblestone stamps sit well against brick and stone facades common through North Chattanooga, and acid-stained floors work beautifully in the daylight basements so many of these homes have.
