Driveway Replacement & Decorative Concrete in Red Bank

Red Bank is a ten-minute run up Dayton Boulevard from our shop, which makes scheduling straightforward and lets Arthur be on site before the truck arrives. Most streets here take a mixer without difficulty, so pours stay on schedule and the mix goes in fresh.

The one thing we plan around is grade. Lots climbing toward Signal or dropping off Ashland Terrace need water routed deliberately, so we set the slope of the slab and any drainage before we form.

Much of Red Bank was built in the 1950s and 60s, and those original driveways are now well past their design life: four inches of unreinforced concrete over bare soil, cracked into sections and settling at the joints. Replacement with a compacted stone base and a proper rebar grid gives you a slab that will not repeat the failure.

Hillside lots along the ridge side add a drainage problem. Water coming downhill will undercut a slab edge if nothing redirects it, so we grade to shed and add a channel drain or swale where the volume warrants it.
