Vances Concrete Craft has been an independent, owner-operated business in Hamilton County since 2007. That structure is deliberate, and it is why the work holds up.

Arthur Vance founded this business in 2007 specifically so he could stay on the tools. He walks your property, lays out the design, sets the forms, works the stamp, and applies the sealer. There is no crew chief, no rotating subcontractor, and nobody learning on your slab.
Thick-gauge steel reinforcement, not wire on dirt
Every structural pour gets #4 or #5 rebar tied on chairs over a compacted crushed-stone base, plus a 4,000 PSI mix and saw-cut control joints. That combination is the difference between a slab that lasts decades and one that cracks into pieces in five winters.
Artistic finishes, custom-blended on site
Ashlar slate, cobblestone, European fan, and wood plank patterns with integral color and hand-applied antiquing releases. Acid-stained concrete floors get layered, translucent color that no two slabs ever repeat.
Built for freeze-thaw durability
Chattanooga winters cycle above and below freezing repeatedly. We seal with freeze-thaw-rated acrylics or penetrating silane-siloxane, keep joints tight, and tell you honestly when a surface is due for its next coat.

How a project runs, start to finish

Design consultation
Arthur comes out, measures, checks drainage and subgrade, and talks through patterns, colors, and what your property actually needs. Free, in person, no pressure.
- 02
Firm itemized quote
You get one number covering demolition, base prep, reinforcement, the pour, the finish, and sealing. We book your date, usually four to eight weeks out.
- 03
Prep and pour
Excavation to competent ground, compacted stone base, steel set on chairs, forms squared and staked. Then the pour, worked and hand-tooled by Arthur himself.
- 04
Cure, seal, walk it together
The slab cures under a controlled schedule, gets its sealer at the right moment, and Arthur walks the finished work with you before he calls it done.
